Shawn received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (1980), and Masters of Clinical & Anesthesia Education (1988). She practiced as a CRNA for 34 years, retiring April 2021 from a private anesthesia practice specializing in Podiatrics. With an inquisitive mind rooted equally in science and movement, Shawn discovered yoga to be a perfect amalgam of these two worlds.
Balanced within the worlds of art and science, her teachings reflect the paradox between the body’s structural biomechanics, and the subtleties of intuitive grace and creativity. Shawn offers private Yoga Therapy and Thai Yoga Therapy, workshops, all level Yoga Mix, Vinyasa Flow, and small group Yoga Newbies. Her teaching style supports a mindful alignment-focused practice which cultivates balance, awareness, and equanimity.
In 2019, Shawn began weekly studies in acting for camera with Rick Ibarra Rivera, and studies regularly with online acting coaches and workshop opportunities. She is honored to be represented by MAM who has supported her local film and commercial experiences.
Shawn co-founded South Perry Yoga LLC, in 2006. From OCT 2011- OCT 2020, she designed and led renovations of the historic building in the South Perry district referred to as "the Buddhio". From NOV 2020 - JULY 2021 she designed and helped manage the 9-month renovation of "The CLUTCH", a historic warehouse in the Sprague Union District, where her studio currently resides. Shawn is the CLUTCH liaison for Yoga and the Actor's Plenty, which supports rehearsal space for local film and theater communities.

Rachael Rossbach is a lifelong movement artist and teacher, with a background in dance and martial arts. She began to explore yoga in her early twenties as an alternative to the heavy impact training that she had been practicing for many years. Although a casual practitioner at first, yoga soon became a daily part of her life. Breathwork and meditation becoming pivotal transformative tools in her growth as a person and teacher, lead her to pursue an RYT 200 hour training in the Fall of 2018. She completed her training in June of 2018 at Harmony Yoga with Allison Rubin, and has spent the past year continuing her training through various workshops and classes.
Rachael brings a deep knowledge of alignment, injury prevention, and strength training to her classes. She believes yoga is an accessible practice for every body, and teaches a variety of styles to suit individual needs, including: Mindful Body & Flow, Restorative with Sound Bath, and leads monthly Ecstatic Dances.

When I discovered yoga, 7 years ago, I immediately fell in love. I've had the honor to teach now for 4 years; gym, studio, workshops, zoom, and lots of one on one. I love sharing this beautiful practice and recently have been teaching gentle, restorative and yin yoga. This gentle class is for every body type and experience level.
In 1972, I attended my first yoga class and fell in love with the practice immediately! Over the last 50 years I have been fortunate to study with some amazingly skilled instructors, mostly in traditions of alignment and flow. I have attended many teacher trainings, owned and operated a couple of yoga studios including most recently, Harmony Yoga, and have directed and taught multiple teacher trainings.
With more than 35 years teaching experience, my style has morphed over the years and integrates alignment, flow, breathwork, philosophy and chanting. My hope is that students leave my classes feeling peaceful, balanced and inspired in body, mind and spirit.
Mindi Sheer is a somatic movement educator, ecologist, and former competitive latin dancer who recently settled in Spokane. Her diverse perspective of movement includes a deep curiosity and appreciation for Authentic Movement, musicality and self-expression. Her artistic passion is to help forge a bridge between art and science and create pathways of healing for the lived body through the art of dance.
As an ecologist, she studies aquatic ecosystems and understands complex systems, including body, mind, psyche and our relationship with nature. Mindi has a degree in Biology and a Masters in Geosciences and is a registered Somatic Movement Educator and Therapist (RSME/T) through the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association (ISMETA). She began teaching in 2012 and somatic movement coaching in 2018.
Science culture oriented Mindi towards the much-needed expressivity and physical discipline of dance where she discovered her passion for the theatricality and sensuality of Latin music, dance and performance. Her dance background includes Afro-Cuban forms, jazz, modern, salsa, flamenco, swing and an extensive focus in technical and social Latin and ballroom dances. She is a 3-time National USA DanceSport Champion in International Latin Ballroom. The kinesthetic and healing aspects of partnerships led to her study of somatics and movement analysis. Mindi has a certification in Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analysis (CLMA) (2018) from Integrated Movement Studies (University of Utah) which included study at the Laban Institute of Movement Studies in Brooklyn. She continues to train in embodied coaching practices, Body-Mind Centering, and the Kestenberg Movement Profile and uses them in her personal movement practice and work with clients.
Mindi offers a variety of classes at the Clutch, beginning with Latin Fusion, and hopes to develop a small community Movement Lab for thoughtful exploration of somatic approaches and community-derived movement. She is available for somatic movement sessions, private dance lessons, couples communication through movement, and wedding dance lessons.
Mindi is the Dance Liaison for the CLUTCH.

Aikido
The path of harmonizing energy:
Ai = Harmonize
Ki = Energy
Do= the path or the way
Aikido is a practice that can be started at anytime of your life and can be continued throughout your life. Through the intentional practice we explore physically, mentally, and spiritually, what it means to harmonize with energy.
We find that the natural, spiral movements of the body help to stretch us, strengthen us, and balance us. As we continue to explore the movements we begin to understand how the lessons in the dojo are lessons of living a peaceful and constructive life. We feel the power of harmonizing and creating rather than fighting and destroying.
Aikido has been described as moving meditation, therapeutic, empowering, relaxing, energizing, challenging, fun, and yes it is a powerful martial art, all of this is true. What Aikido is for you will depend on where you are in your journey and what you bring to the table. We take that and grow from there.
James Landry sensei began his study of Aikido on the mat in 1986 while living in Seattle. In 2000 he was accepted as uchi deshi to Fumio Toyoda sensei. Aikido had become a full time exploration. While in the Chicagoland area Landry sensei trained and assisted in the operations of seven dojo, growing in his understanding and developing his teaching. This included teaching Aikido and meditation in youth and adult creativity and leadership programs, group therapy for youth diagnosed with various mental health issues, and custom designed experiential training seminars for community non-profits. 2004 saw Landry sensei return to his home of Spokane where he has been operating an Aikido dojo full time.
Landry sensei is ranked godan (5th degree black belt) and holds the title of shidoin (certified teacher). We are affiliated with Aikido World Alliance Chicago, USA and the Aikikai Foundation Tokyo, Japan.

Karin believes that seeking authentic connection is why we're here. Learning to be true to ourselves while also being present with another person is a lifelong practice. She is interested in how authentic relating can support growth towards secure attachment and how somatic experiences and release can create relational depth quickly. And, she is fiercely passionate about supporting women-identified people towards full self-ownership and reclamation.
Karin facilitates workshops based on her own striving towards these ideas. She is, and will always be, a lifelong student of trust, self-alignment, consent, connection, and presence. Karin seeks to create spaces and experiences where participants can explore all parts of themselves, where vulnerability is welcome, and where co-created safety can open the door to new depths.
Outside of workshops, Karin's day-to-day work centers on mental health counseling and consultation. She is a licensed mental health counselor, child mental health specialist, and Washington State approved clinical supervisor. In her private practice, she focuses mostly on supporting complex trauma survivors, including those healing from religious trauma and abuse. Thai Massage
Cedar Sky Love has been offering massage and bodywork sessions since 2012. She received Thai massage training through The Baan Jai Center for Thai Massage and Education, in Portland, OR, and The Baan Hom Samunphrai School, just outside of Chang Mai, Thailand.
Thai massage uses gentle pressure and stretching techniques to relax the whole body. The techniques that a Thai massage practitioner uses are very different from those used in a Swedish relaxation massage or therapeutic deep tissue massage. For a Thai massage, the client wears loose, comfortable clothing and lies on a mat on the floor. During a Thai massage, the body is pulled, stretched, and rocked as the therapist assists the client in yoga-type postures and the therapist uses mostly compression verse petrissage or effleurage massage techniques. The therapist may use their various body parts such as their arms, hands, legs, and feet to massage the client and position the recipient's body. Optional additions: steamed herbal compress or foot soak.

I grew up in Spokane Valley in the 90s. I'm a middle child from a family of five. I now live in downtown Spokane with my boyfriend Andrew and our cat Maluca (it means 'naughty girl' in Spanish).
I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2018. A friend recommended I take a look into massage as a career after trying a few different jobs and not finding happiness. My passion has always been giving and helping others; massage was a perfect fit. I fell in love instantly. The human body is like an intricate puzzle that is different every time. I could treat a whole bunch of people for the same type of issue and it would present in a million different ways. I will never get bored!
While in massage school I was introduced to a new type of bodywork called Structural Integration. Being a big fan of deep tissue massage, it drew me in its scientific approach to pain relief and strategic treatment of the body. After doing some research, I decided to return to school to become a Certified Structural Integrator and Structural Medicine Specialist. In May 2022 I will be attending /commuting to the Institute of Structural Medicine in Seattle, graduating in 2026.

The act of eating and drinking has always been a sacred thing for me. Happiness was having something to eat after a long day, surrounded by the people you care about. No matter what was happening, being able to slow down and appreciate the moment always felt like a necessity.
Life moves fast, especially when you never take a moment to slow down and enjoy it. It always felt to me that the world around us today is catered to a lifestyle of constantly moving towards the next thing without enjoying what’s currently here. We’re so focused on the future that we forget that we’re living in an ever evolving string of moments - a string which unfolds into the story of our lives. Because of this, I opened the Pine Heart Café in the hopes to provide a third place for people to come, relax, and enjoy themselves!
Whether it be taking a break to hide away and read a good book, getting to work on that project plaguing your brain, or even just simply talking with the lovely people inside, my goal is for the Pine Heart Café to act as a refuge from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With the shop open in the day and events in the evenings, I hope to build a community of people who get to live life to its fullest one moment at a time.
